Painted Sound Art Show - Mansfield Arts Center

The Renaissance Performing Arts Association, the Mansfield Symphony and the Mansfield Art Center have collaborated in a visual art and music program called The Painted Sound.  Area high school students have been engaged to paint or create art inspired by the music being performed at the Candide à Paris concert.  This partnership has gone on for a number of years and has included visual arts teachers from numerous high schools throughout Richland County.  This year students have submitted art projects from Ontario High School, Discovery School and Mansfield Senior High School.  These works will be juried on April 14 and awards will be given out at the start of the symphony performance on April 18.  These works are presently on display at the Mansfield Art Center through April 19.  Hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11 am - 5 pm, Sunday 12-5 pm, closed Monday and Holidays.
