An Evening with Storyteller Jim Bowsher

Saturday, June 21, 2014
7:00 pm

Address:
95 E Third St
Mansfield, OH 44902

Presented By: The Mansfield Playhouse

James R. Bowsher is a renowned storyteller who has given artifact-based historical talks all over the United States.  A native and resident of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Bowsher began collecting odd historical stories and the objects associated with them when he was eight years old.  A master performer, Bowsher typically takes his hearers over the full range of emotions, from fall-out-of-your-chair hilarity to gut-punch seriousness.  It's all part of the stroyteller's point.  "By keeping these stories alive, I'm being a voice for the voiceless," Bowsher said, adding that the added dimension of having an actual object involved in each story just brings it home and makes it real to the listeners.

The Mansfield Playhouse invites you to join us as Jim Bowsher brings his storytelling craft to our stage.  This event is absolutely free (although donations will be gratefully accepted) and open to the public.
