Join us for Explorers of Nature programs for kids, ages 4-16, to discover the nature around us! Meet at the Welcome Center.

$5 per person or $30 for all eight sessions through August 6. Registration required. Download the Registration Form Here

June 18 - Outdoor Exploration & Survival Skills (kids will learn survival skills and make a survival bracelet)

June 25 - Feathered Friends (kids will learn about Ohio's birds and make a birdfeeder to take home)

July 2 - Magnificent Mammals (kids will learn about Ohio's mammals and make a squirrel feeder to take home)

July 9 - Frogs, Turtles, and Toads, Oh My! (kids will learn about Ohio's reptiles and amphibians, then make a toad house to take home)

July 16 - Creepy Crawlies (kids will learn about Ohio's insects and make a mason bee box to take home)

July 23 - Plant Palooza (kids will learn about Ohio's plants and plant a wildflower seed to take home)

July 30 - Water World (kids will learn about the water cycle and make a terrarium to take home)

August 6 - Campfire Adventures (kids will learn about campfire building and cooking, then make tasty treats to enjoy by the fire)


All events & programs are always open to the public. Gate admission fees may apply.

Located near Perrysville, Pleasant Hill Lake offers camping, water skiing, hiking and swimming and much more. A developing horsetrail and designated camping area to accommodate horse owners also is available for visitors.
