Family Farm Fun Day - Malabar Farm

As one of many events planned at Malabar Farm State park, Fun on teh Farm is the theme of this August 2nd event at Malabar Farm. Some of the activities scheduled for the morning include: gather the eggs, get dressed for work, fix the machinery, a watermelon seed spitting contest, hay bale throwing, rubber chicken toss, fruits and veggie toss, sack race and a pie eating contest. Activities will take place from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Visitor Center.
A special youth fishing derby will be held at the Big House pond from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Limited poles, wheel chair access dock, and bait will be available for youth under 16 years of age. Ohio Division of Wildlife will be stocking the ponds with fish for the event. Prizes awarded at 3:00 p.m. for most and largest fish caught.
A Summer square dance will be held at the main barn beside the Big House from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. The dance is open to the public at no charge and refrehments will be provided.
