Restored Victorian mansion (1887) of Bishop William M. Brown, turn-of-the-century national, political, and religious leader, complete with original furnishings. Grounds feature the Bishop's library, covered walkways and a history museum.
The cottage is open to the public on Sundays June through October with tours beginning at 1:30, 2:15 and 3:00 pm. The guided tour is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Also call about our special ghost tours.

Join us for a “haunting” evening of history and the paranormal as Dr. Doug Gruber reveals his findings from Brownella Cottage, home of the late Bishop William Montgomery Brown and his wife Ella! The Galion Historical Society representatives will present a brief history of the home and its famous couple. Finally guests will utilize paranormal research equipment as they perform their own investigation of Brownella Cottage!
These unique tours begin at 9pm and last about 2 hours.
Group sizes are limited so that everyone may have the best “experience” possible.
Tickets are $25 per person and everyone will receive goodie bags full of great items.
