Kary Oberbrunner will be signing copies of his book, Day Job to Dream Job, at the Ohio State Reformatory. Like 86% of the population, Kary felt imprisoned by his day job. He knew to break free from prison he needed a plan, just like Andy Dufresne. Rather, than just dream, he decided to turn his passion into a full-time gig. After “going pro” he put his 9 step plan in a book called Day Job to Dream Job.
Saturday: 7:30-9:30pm (Cocktail Party)
The Ohio State Reformatory invites you to join us for an evening Cocktail Party in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Shawshank Redemption in the Central Guard Room.
Live jazz band, hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and tours will be included. 40's and 50's evening attire is suggested, but not required. Doors open at 7:00pm. Tickets are $50 each. Buy tickets HERE.
Sunday: Church at Shawshank. Andy felt literal bars holding back his dreams and desires. Most of us can relate. We might not feel the cold steel, but we do feel caged from our creativity and imprisoned from our potential. We see what we could be, but we feel overwhelmed by the distance between knowing and becoming.
Take a unique 30-minute journey through film, Scripture, and dialogue. International author, coach, and speaker Kary Oberbrunner will serve as your tour guide. He’ll show how it’s possible to move from PRISON to PLAN to PAYOFF. God wants you to escape the Shawshank inside your soul. Join us for a brief experience that might just set you free.
These tickets will sell out. Limited seating is available. Doors open at 8:30 am. “Church” is from 9-9:30 AM. Tickets are $7 per person (ticket fees may apply). A portion of these proceeds go towards a local food bank.
Buy tickets HERE on line or call 419-522-2726.
