This is a wonderful place to visit. I have visited the Smithsonian Gardens in Washington D.C., the famous gardens in Colorado, beautiful gardens at the Ringling Brother's Estate in Sarosata Florida, and many other conservatories, although they were all impresive, none do I feel compelled to revisit like Kingwood. This is a place of enchanted gardens sprawling over acers each one different from the last. Fountains greet you around a winding walkway. The paths that take you to visit a pond, where you sit and feed many variety of birds and waterfoul who call this place home. The greenhouses have trees and plants you would have to travel the world to see outside of a book. Don't forget to visit the mansion. It is really a castle, not just a large home; much like the estate in the English movie, "The Witch The Lion And The Wardrobe." It is easy to leave the rest of the world behind when you are there (although there is a fee to enter the mansion the grounds are free). I live in Dayton Ohio, I try to visit Kingwood as often as I can. Every season holds something special at this storybook place. If you find yourself near Mansfield, visit and fall in love with Kingwood.

I enjoy taking my mother for walks and sitting by the beautiful gardens. My grandchildren love to feed the ducks, toss pennies in the fountains, have a picnic and walk the grounds. Thank you Kingwood!
