Will be back. New facilities
Mike at 10:10am EDT - August 25, 2011
So glad to have found Mohican Reservation several years ago. He had been camping at some places that were very loud and unfriendly to young families. Mohican Reservation really keeps things family focused and does not let intoxicated people ruin an outdoors experience for everyone. We have never had an issue with staff. They DO inforce some noise regulations, but that is great for us since our kids are young and we like quiet nights talking, listening to wildlife, listening to the river, and watching the stars. The new facilities are really nice. There are still some pit toilets, but those are for convenience if you don't want to run back

seriously horrible canoeing site they have the cheapest price but cheap isnt always good one canoe had a hole in it and the others were all beat up and after going too far down the river because there was no sign we were harrassed by some rude old witch who supposedly owned the place i would never recommend anyone to go here go to any other canoe site but this one

This was the worst campground I have ever stayed at in my life. The Staff members were walking through campsites the whole weekend telling people to be quiet. No one was having fun, and we actually left. The management cursed at us and called us names. They were upset that we had a radio on during the afternoon. What a pathetic campground. We went down the road to RIver Run and had a blast. They even had a DJ from 5pm - 11pm, so we actually got to listen to music, and have fun like camping should be. STAY AWAY FROM MOHICAN RESERVATION, IT IS A PRISON!!!!!!

The absolute WORST campsite I have ever been to. On a Friday evening, we were told to turn our radio down at 6:00 PM. We complied even though the 11 PM - 9AM quite time was clearly posted (of which our radio was no louder than anyone elses). Speed forward to 9:00 PM later that night, the owner drives by our campsite and actually yelled out the window at us a very disrespectful phrase (abbreviation Mother F... if you must know) and proceeded to drive off. We were just sitting around the fire! Well needless to say our group was very riled up for such disrespect by the OWNER of the campsite that we were indeed louder than should be. We were apporached by the security men who told us to leave the property. When our group refused because not one of us was sober and getting behind the wheel of a car, they called the cops. Cops would not let us leave that night and merely told us to quite down (our assumption was that this probably happens often). We were approached the next morning at 8 AM and told we had to leave or the cops would be called again and have us all arrested for tresspassing. After several conversations with the security men, they still could not tell us why we were being kicked out -in fact, the police didnt even have an answer as to why we were called. The end of our stay at Mohican Reservation was topped off with us being flicked off by the owner's significant other. Not what I like to call great customer service. Save your money - go to Indian River Run or Mohican Adventures, DO NOT GO TO MOHICAN RESERVATION, unless of course you feel like talking to cops and then ending your vacation short by being kicked off the property.

Campsite does have nice things suchs as a newer playground for the kids, a nice picnic pavilion and staff is friendly. They advertise flushing toliets but there were only two for women on the whole campsite. The outhouse near our campsite smelled so bad and that was before you even got it in. It was cool all weekend (60's

As soon as I arrived I wanted to turn around and get a refund. Campsites are ridiculously small, about 20 x 40. You are pretty much on top of your neighbors. So you have NO PRIVACY. My tent was only a few feet away from other campers. The bathrooms were disgusted. Only three showers and only two flushing toilets for the entire campground. Not worth my almost 3 hour drive.

We were not impressed at all with this campground. We traveled nearly 2 hrs to stay and relax and have a good time this past week-end. However.....We basically had to stop doing everything at 11:00 pm and go to bed because we had to stop playing cornhole turn our not loud music off both nights. Personally We don't work all week and plan a weekend away to crash at 11:00 pm. Friday night we were awaken at about 3:00 am with late night partying / fighting. Nothing seemed to be done about that except be put on a list. Then Saturday around 3:30 am A girl and guy were fighting and yellinf and screaming and nothing was done again. hmmmm maybe they got put on a list too!
We did like the size of the campsites. That was a positive!
Not enough showers for as big as this campground is. Toilet facilities are disgusting!
We feel like we wasted our money staying here. Would not recommend to anyone. Will never be back!

Simply the BEST. Over 20 overnight stays at the Mohican Reservation since my freshman year in college which was in 1987 and this is now 2008, so I'm sure I'll be heading back again this year. Simply the BEST
Henry Tucker at 12:18pm EDT - April 1, 2008
