Brownella Cottage

Brownella Cottage

132 S. Union Street
Galion, OH 44833

One block west and south of Public Square in Galion. 12 minutes west of Mansfield on SR 309. Park in the lot across from the cottage at the Historic Grace Church.

Restored Victorian mansion (1887) of Bishop William M. Brown, turn-of-the-century national, political, and religious leader, complete with original furnishings. Grounds feature the Bishop's library, covered walkways and a history museum.

The cottage is open to the public on Sundays June through August with tours from 1:00 - 4:00pm. The guided tour is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Also call about our special ghost tours.
Groups are welcome by appointment. Please call 419-468-9338.

Guests are invited to utilize paranormal research equipment as they perform their own investigations, which have revealed strange voices, lights that turn off on their own and strange door slamming. The experiences have visitors asking if the now-deceased Bishop Brown still roams the halls.  Seen on A&E's My Ghost Story.

Group sizes are limited (please inquire) so that everyone may have the best “experience” possible. Begins at 8:00pm at Historic Grace Church in Galion for a bit of history and an overview of paranormal equipment to use.  The tours will end at midnight.  Contact Cathy or Barry at 419-462-5672, email
